Boxing Day Sales

Hello Lovelies,

Being the dedicated shopper that I am, I dragged myself out of bed at 8am Boxing Day and tootled off into Leeds City Centre to brave the sales. Boy o' boy am I glad I did:)

Not only did I get to spend (too much) of my Christmas money, I also managed to pick up a few things I really wouldn't have expected to buy. (I may also have picked up a few cheeky 'non sale' items :P *oops*)

I'll start with the beauty related items as I feel this may interest you most.
My first stop was LUSH, equipped with the £15 voucher from my parents. I was so excited to find all of the Christmas gifts and products 50% off. I picked up a £35 box containing 12 things, for only £17! Amazing right?

It's called the 12 days of Christmas.
All of the products smell delicious, there isn't even the usual 'not as nice as the rest' suspect.

I also picked up an extra Cinders bath bomb :)

My Second stop was Harvey Nichols (with my £20 voucher) to visit the MAC counter. There was no sale on here, but I haven't been to MAC in ages so picked up a few items that the makeup artist (who was amazing) recommended. Everywhere else in the store was madness though, I'm talking middle aged women fighting over PRADA handbags crazy :')

I then went to Superdrug and picked up one of the Rimmel lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection and two new nail polishes.

327 Heart on Fire
520 Camouflage Chic
Lipstick 008 (I couldn't see a name)
My surprise item of the trip was actually an extra Christmas gift from my mother. I've been in need of some sturdy winter boots for a really long time as my current boots are starting to deteriorate after three loving years. I decided to go for something a little different this time. Take a look at these beauties...

How frickin' cute are they!! Now I know many people will hate these, but they are honestly so so versatile and incredibly girly of course. Its amazing how many things they go with (post soon.)

I also found these cute (slightly less daring boots) in the sale at new look for £30 (down from £70) and thought they were amazing quality for the price.

I also picked up a new handbag(pictured with docs) for £6 and an adorable jewellery stand from NEXT for £4.
This jewellery stand was originally £10 and I have been eyeing it up for ages, but could not justify the price. I jumped at the chance to buy it in the sales XD. It looks so beautiful with my earrings displayed on the mantle piece :)

Phew!:)
That was a very long post.
It seems I went a little mad on the shopping front ;)
If you made it this far, congratulations and if you would like any in depth reviews on the items mentioned just let me know.
Did anyone else pick up some bargains in the Sales?

Much Love

Presents from Santa

Hello Lovelies,

So the festive period is officially over and there is a whole year full of hope and new beginnings straight ahead of us. I have had an amazing holiday, relaxing with my friends and family and getting a short rest bite from uni work. It's back to revision now though.

Have any of you made resolutions? If you have please leave a comment as I would love to know what they all are! I have two myself:

1. Don't miss any lectures this year (not that I have already :P)

2. Make a blogging schedule and stick to it. I really want to get my blog off the ground this year :)

Today's post is on all of the amazing presents I received for Christmas. I was unsure whether or not to do this post, but I love to read others like this so i thought, why not? :)

I was so lucky to receive everything I was given this Christmas and I honestly love every single thing. So thank you if any of you are reading this!

Here is an overview of everything.

Kitchen Utensils, Acre of the Moon (from boyfriend:P), Cross Body Bag, Duvet Cover, Russian Doll Purse, Red Cushion, T-shirts and Jeans, 4x4 Rubiks Cube, Books, Soap & Glory Goodies, Betty Jackson Nail Polish Set, Models Own Nail Art Pen, LUSH £15 voucher, Banana Protector :') and Christmas Box. :)

My main present was this wonderful docking station, so I can listen to lots of music at Uni. It has amazing sound quality and goes VERY loud :) This is my bedside table at home, in case you were wondering.

What did Santa bring you for Christmas?
Much Love

Glitter & Gloss

Afternoon Lovelies :)

I have had an absolutely wonderful Christmas, I hope you all have too. I also got waaayy more than I was expecting, especially since I have a new camera this year.
I think my parents were enjoying the fact that this was my last 'childhood' Christmas and went a bit crazy on the present buying front aha. I can't say I'm complaining though. Thankyou Mum and Dad!!! :D

It was a very quite, albite lovely Christmas this year as I celebrated with only my Parents. However I was free from Revision for a whole day and got to eat one hell of a lot of food whilst spending time with my family.

Today's blog post is going to be about one of the GORGEOUS presents my Mum gave to me. (I wasn't expecting this one)

The Nails Inc. Glitter & Gloss Minis Collection.

The beautifully packaged box comes with 10 miniature nail polishes from the Glitter & Gloss collection and I can safely say there isn't a single colour I don't like!!

I love how they are all named after places in London too :)
The set includes:
Bloomfield Terrace.
This is a gorgeous, slightly pearlescent red colour.

Egerton Gardens.
A full on pink, purple, red and blue sparkle haven.

Culford Gardens.
A beautiful shimmery Silver/Gold (My Favourite)

Rawlings Street.
A lovely Turquoise with a hint of shimmer

Saville Row.
A deep mahogany red/brown

Bourne Street.
A bright red packed with glitter

Belgrave Place.
A deep cobalt blue

Little Venice
A sheer light, neutral pink.(Currently Wearing)

Bruton Street.
A neutral mauvey brown with a hint of pink

Victoria
A very deep red/purple

My favourite thing about miniature sets, is you can almost 'try before you buy'. I love to experiment with colours, but it is also great that if I love one of the colours enough, I can splash out and repurchase. Knowing I already love the shade.

This box retails for £50 however my mum told me she snapped it up for £25. Not bad for ten reasonably sized polishes.
Plus the box will be great for storing nail files, cuticle sticks etc when the polishes run out.

If you would like to see a swatch of any let me know. (I attempted to paint each nail a different colour which failed due to my impatience)

Would anyone consider purchasing this gift set?
What is your opinion on Nails Inc.?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Love
Lou
