First OOTD and FOTD :)

Hello my lovelies :D

Boy have I missed this!!
I feel like Ive been gone years although its only a few weeks :(.

So as some of you know my beloved camera decided to pass away, it was very old and i was in need of a new one for Christmas. However, it would have been nice if lovely Mr Camera was able to last until I received a beautiful new model. Alas!! This did not happen, so after a fair few weeks of blog writing urges I have decided to attempt some rather bad quality (in other words 'quirky' :) pictures with my webcam.

Blog posts will dramatically increase in quantity after Christmas. I promise!!

Barry M Nail Polish Collection...

Hey Honeypies!! :D

I have found that Barry M is getting to be a little bit of a cult brand over here in the UK, especially considering they don't stock them in the US. I love them because they are inexpensive, generally a good formulation, chip resistant and they have a CRAZY colour selection. Always a little pick me up at the end of a long day:)

I could say I have jumped on the Nail Paint band wagon, however, i have been accumulating these nail polishes since i was around 11. Maybe i have just continued the trend? Who knows? :)

I haven't managed to include all of the shades as i recently bought 2 new polishes, although they should be found in my holiday post!!!

Its not a very large collection, (i even have some of the oldschool taller bottles) but its one I always return to time after time...

Clockwise from Left:66,47,161,291,295(Turquoise),290,137,134x2:P,136,150,262 and 296(Coral)

The ones i recently bought are 308(Berry Ice Cream) and 304(Mint Green)

I must say, i am very glad they have started to name them, as writing all those numbers down wasn't very interesting lol:)

If you would like to see any swatches let me know and I'll do a NOTD post.
Also if you would like to see the rest of my collection I can do that to :D

Have you bought any Barry M Nail Paints recently?
Have you bought any Nail Polish in general?
Leave a Comment below.

I Joined Twitter!! + NOTD :)

It has taken me a very long time, however I have finally joined the (and i quote) 'Social Networking Site Everyone is Raving About'. Now I know its been around for ages and your probably sat there going 'What the hell is that girl on about?' but after lots of umming and ahhing i decided that, Yes i will get addicted to it, but No that's OK because it means I can keep all you lovely people updated on up and coming blog posts etc :)

Here's the part where i get really sad and lonely...

I HAVE NO FRIENDS!!!
aha
Nobody i know has twitter, deary me...

I have no idea how to use it, what to do or what is 'cool' :') so follow me follow me follow me lalalala... or equally leave your addresses in the comments and ill check out your twitter? That's sounds so odd:L

Anyhoooo, if you haven't been completely put off by all the things i just wrote, then it would be lovely to know what you all think, any suggestions for blog posts, as i plan to get really into blogging now i have a lot more time on my hands:)

www.twitter.com/Rainbowbuttons

Enough Rambling, onto NOTD ...

So I was sat watching The Simpsons earlier on this evening, and took it upon myself to paint my nails a lovely shade of Green, OPI Jade is the New Black to be precise, so i suppose you could say a shade of Jade? Hmmm

I also decided to 'live a little' (insert sheepish face) and paint over the top of this with the deliciously glittery 'Call my celery' by OPI. An adorable name i must say.
Here are the pictures, I'm not sure you can see the glitter too well but you get the idea.:)

Do you like my Little Miss Neat coaster peaking out from the right:P

This Colour is truly gorgeous and goes on really well in two coats, no streaks. Although I'm a bit of a scrooge and we are many months away from Christmas the little gold flecks in the glitter are very very Christmassy:) Hot Chocolate time I think...

Present Time!!, Birthday Shopping Haul and Update :)

It was my Birthday a few weeks ago (nearly a month now) on the 17th July and i am officially 17 :) I had a nice big party in my garden with all my friends and received lots of lovely pressies, my friends know me so well!! I was going to put up a post on my Birthday however that plan disappeared rather quickly after a very hyped up birthday girl and a few drinks :D

I have also just returned from a 2 week holiday in Croatia with my family, it was a rather stressful affair, (crazy I know!!) however i am back home feeling fitter and with a rather lovely tan which seems to have transformed my skin from something resembling milk to a nice honey glow!! I did use factor 30 suncream as im not a big fan of sunbathing, besides, suncream makes you tan rather than burn and its a million times safer. I can't say I understand why some people don't use it!! Anyone care to enlighten me?

The shops on holiday were virtually non existent (although the scenery made up for it) so i wasn't too pleased about that, although i certainly took advantage of the Duty Free at Gatwick airport. Not bad at all!!!

Here are my lovely jubbly birthday presents :)...

This is from the Alice In Wonderland collection at Culture Vulture :)

I have this in 3 colours, i may be obsessed :P
Totally got a Periodic Table :P

I then headed on into Leeds today to spend my Birthday money. I also decided to take a leap and get my ears pierced!!! LMAO I know that sounds ridiculous but its taken me 7 years to pluck up the courage so i am very proud of myself .My did i have fun  :D...

As I Delve Into Story Writing...

This is totally random but i sometimes get the urge just to write. So sorry if its a tad depressing but HEY its a good release:P and don't worry. Its not a reflection on how im feeling. Then there would be cause to worry:') If you don't like reading this kind of thing then by all means don't, however i was thinking of writing a book, just as a hobby really. Thought this would make a good opening paragraph. Here it is...

Why Me? By Yours Truly :)

She was just sat there. Sat on the cold hard floor. Staring at the small hole in the plaster, located in the corner of her room. She didn’t care what she was thinking about. She didn’t care about anything, and every time she tried she went numb. Numb with pain? Numb with fear? She didn’t know. Just numb, like her whole body had gone on standby. She couldn’t feel anything. Her heart and mind had completely shut down, yet at the same time they were screaming at her, dieing, desperate to release some kind of emotion, any kind. But she couldn’t, she wouldn’t let them break her.

She turned her head and glanced out of the small, insignificant, window next to her. It was the old wooden type, there were specs of paint where someone had once tried to keep up its appearance, and the glass was misty and cracked from the gloomy fog outside. The one small chunk of light that had managed to escape, sliced through the darkness off the room, like a newly sharpened knife.

Why? This was the question she kept asking herself. Why? However, no matter how many times she quizzed herself, her heart failed to return an answer. But still she kept asking, why had this heartbreakingly painful tragedy happened to her?

Every morning when she woke up a vicious ocean of grief washed over her,(that is if she had managed to fall asleep) For it was hard at the moment, what with the thousands of daggers stabbing her heart over and over again, she couldn’t concentrate on anything, let alone sleep.

“You’ll move on” “Its okay” this is what they said. The people that “cared” about her, but they didn’t understand. She couldn’t blame them though,…I mean…how could they?

It had affected her the most. No one else, just her. Nobody shared her pain. No one else woke up every morning wanting the ground to swallow them up. No one missed him like she did. She was the only one he had cared about, and him to her. But it was over. All the good times and bad times. The sad times and the happy times. The fun times, the stupid and the silly times. The times they stuck by each other, no matter what anyone else said.

They were all gone. Everything.

All she had left now was memories., and that particular day was fresh in her mind as if they were happening at that moment.

She could still smell the sweet scent of his hair. See his broad muscular body in front of her. She could still remember the freckle situated above his right eyebrow. Every contour of his face and how soft his lips felt against hers. She could still remember how she felt when he held her, safe, protected and blindingly in love. She thought it would last forever.

As she sat on the cold wooden planks a tear started to roll down her left cheek. She was finally letting her emotions show. For this was the moment. Right then. This was the moment she realised he was gone, and was never coming back. It hit her like a comet plummeting towards earth at thousands of miles per hour.

It had happened. The thing she said would never come. It had broken her.

LUSH Haul :)

Hey guys :)
So I planned to have this up on Wednesday but something came up so i didn't get the chance.
I ordered some products from lush online, so it would arrive in time for me to relax after my exams and just as i hoped it arrived the day of my last exam, only two days after i ordered it! I haven't tried it all yet but I'm sooo excited to do so :D
Here's what i got...

Honey Bee Bath Ballistic
Vanilla Fountain Bath Ballistic
Ma Bar Bubble Bar
The Comforter Bubble Bar
A Token to the Forest Gods Toner Tab
FairTrade Foot Lotion(test size)
Ultralight Moisturiser (test size)
Buffy Body Butter
Glorious Mud Shower Scrub
Stepping Stone Shower Scrub

Its a lovely lovely lovely smelling bunch of goodies:D
My room smells like Lush, its amazing!!

I bought the whole lot for around £26 as there is currently and offer on where you get 6 things for £10. It includes(from the list above): Toner Tab, Foot Lotion, Ultralight, Buffy, Stepping Stone and Glorious Mud. BARGAIN!!! I then bought the Bath Ballistics and Bubble Bars individually.

I haven't yet tried them all out so I will put up a review when i do! I've already used the Ultralight moisturiser though and it is gorrggeeouuss :) It seems a little greasy at first, but as long as you let it soak in it leaves your skin lovely and soft without giving you spots, plus its SPF 10, never a bad thing :D

Have you bought anything from Lush recently?
If so let me know :D

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side :)

I thought while I have the time I'd make another post for all of you lovely lovely people :D

Whilst listening to City and Colour and eating my wheatabix I decided to do a green eyeshadow look, inspired by the beautiful walk around Bolton Abbey i went on with the folks early today, so without further or do, here it is :)

I started off by using MAC prep + prime eye in 'light' as a base, then over the top added the lightest shade of my No7 eyeshadow trio in 'Eden' right up to the brow with a No7 eyeshadow brush.
Then up to the crease I added the pale green from the same trio with a MAC 239 patting it on to build up colour, I then added a little of this to the lower lash line. and inner corner to brighten my eyes.
In the crease i then added the darkest shade of the trio all the way across and a little MAC eyeshadow in 'Sumptious Olive' in the outer crease and underneath the lash line about halfway from the outer corner.
I finished the eyeshadow off with a dab off MAC 'Tilt' In the outer corners and blended inwards.

For eyeliner i used Rimmel Kohl Pencil in Jet Black along the the water line, curled my lashes then added two coats of  Loreal Teloscopic Mascara in Black.

Also i uses a little bit of Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel on my brows to add definition.

Blush: MAC Well Dressed :)

Thanks for Reading

My Foundation Routine :) ( Queue sans make-up picture :S)

Sooo I thought I'd do a 'My Foundation Routine' Post and get the whole, picture of myself without make-up fiasco out of the way.
Now luckily for me, my skin is pretty clear at the moment but I still have rather a lot of blemishes. Camera flash is actually rather forgiving :)
Anyway Ive been doing this foundation routine for quite a while now and its working just fine and dandy :)
Ill go through step my step what i do (although it isn't a lot) and I've also inserted a picture of the products used. Enjoy. :)
(Insert scary picture here)
Yup, no makeup and very surprised expression!!!
Ok so...
Step 1 - Prime with GOSH cosmetics Velvet Touch Foundation Primer in 'Apricot' (Forgot to take a picture :(.) I use my fingers for this as it means only a small amount is needed and I'm talking half a pea size, then I blend it out from my nose to my cheeks and add the remainder to my chin. It helps to fill in large pores and even out skin tone. The apricot colour also gives a soft glow which was sadly lost with the flash however it still leaves the skin nice and dewy.

Step 2 - Foundation, I am currently using Loreal True Match in 'Ivory' (Of Course) as it has a very light texture for Summer and blends well. I may have to go up a couple of shades after my hols however, for now, Ivory suits me fine :). I apply small dots to my nose, cheeks. chin and forehead, then blend out using a Ruby and Millie Foundation Brush.

Step 3 - Concealer, My favourite concealer of the moment is MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC15 it is thick enough to cover blemishes and under eye circles (when used sparingly) without creasing. I apply using a MAC 195 concealer brush and blend. Note: when concealing under eyes, dont go below the dark area or you will lighten the 'good' skin underneath meaning the dark circles (although concealed) still look darker in comparison. Make any sense? :D

Step 4 - Finally I use a dab of MACs Prep +Prime Eye in 'Light' over my eyelids to conceal any redness. (If your eyes are red, you will look tired, End Of. :P) I then make sure there is no foundation left on my lips and add a coat of Softlips lip balm in French Vanilla.

Step 5 - Eat Breakfast :D

:
Lovely Jubbly all ready for Blush and Eye Make-up :D
Apologies for the bashful looks!!
