Cheap and Chic

 Hello Lovelies,

I bought these beautiful gem covered pieces at non other than George @ Asda.
I think they are such beautiful pieces considering the whole lot cost under a tenner!!

They do some wonderful jewellery and their current collections are amazing. Great value and bang on trend. Especially the Turquoise ring. I definitely have my eye on a few more pieces :)

Turquoise Ring - £4
Earrings - £4
Green Ring - £2.50

It just goes to show, you can buy good quality pieces that don't murder your wallet!!

GOSH Eyebrow Palette.

Hello Lovelies,

I went shopping in town not too long ago to pick up a few essentials and some other goodies, and as I was pondering in Superdrug I came across this little beauty.

Its the GOSH brow kit and I bought it for the introductory offer of around £6!!
BARGAIN!

It comes with three different shades an eyebrow wax and an AMAZING brush.

Now I don't normally like the brushes that come in palettes as I prefer to use my own but this one is perfect. Its nice and dense and applies beautifully. I use the lightest colour on my brows and simply stroke it on then set it with the wax. My Mum uses the darkest colour that I don't need so it works for both of us without arguments:) (I personally think that means I can slash the price in half, as two people, maybe even three can use it) £2 you can't go wrong ;)

Anyway, here is a picture with(left) and without(right) the palette.
I have rather sparse eyebrows so its nice to fix them so quickly in the morning. You could also darken it up a little to frame the eyes for a more dramatic look :)

But for now Im going for nice and natural yet defined.

I absolutely love this palette and would honestly recommend it to everyone as you can also mix the shades to create your perfect colour.
Super Easy, Super quick AND Affordable
What's not to love?

OOTE Party Party and a little more Party.

Hello Lovelies,

Just a quick outfit post showing you all what I ended up wearing on Friday night a couple of weeks ago. I actually wrote a quick Polyvore post mentioning I didn't want to wear a dress. Well, that went out of the window! It was also my first ever experience with heels, I fell in love with the look, definitely not the feel aha. OUCH!!! :')

Without further ado...

I happen to have rather rosy cheeks here due to the serious amount of laughter erupting from me and my lovely friend Charlotte before this photo was taken.

Friday Night

I have a dilemma, I bought the heels (my first EVER pair) in the middle of this picture from Dorothy Perkins last week. I wore them that night with a lovely floaty Chiffon dress and black tights. Which I personally thought looked lovely.
Now being 5' 11" I tower in these heels at around 6' 2" so bare in mind that I will be rather tall in whatever I end up wearing :')
Aside from that, I have a party coming up on Friday night and I don't want to wear a dress. I was thinking jeans and a sequined waistcoat. I haven't got many dressy items in my wardrobe and I don't want to purchase anything else, clothes wise this month.
So, looking at my wardrobe  I came up with this.
I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to fashion, Im more a cosmetics kinda girl, so any suggestions would be wonderful.
Thank you :D

Hair Today. Gone Tomorrow

Good Morning Lovelies,
I woke up today with a real urge to curl my hair, I went to reach for my trusty, multifunctional GHD's then happily remembered I had been bought a set of Babyliss heated rollers for Christmas.
I have used them before, once or twice (with help) but what better time to master the art of the heated roller on a Sunday. If it turned nasty, I'd have nowhere important to go.

So I apologise for the clothing and lack of makeup as I hadn't got to that point yet, but here are some pictures of  my hair in progress :)

(Notice the totally awesome baby photo:P)
Now I have rather fine, medium length hair, which drops curl really easily. Its a right pain in the butt to be honest and this means extra time in the rollers and one hell of a lot of hairspray is needed. Other than that, I am rather pleased with the result :D

The rollers themselves take no time at all to heat up and once you get the hang of it they are really quite easy to use. They do get pretty hot and you have to be careful not to burn your fingers (I learned the hard way.)
The only downside I would say, is that they are fairly heavy. Considering you must leave them in until the indicator roller turns from white to red (10-15 minutes) it can start to hurt your neck.
The price we pay for luscious locks aye?
:)

All in all I absolutely love these curlers and at around £25 for a set of 20 they are very reasonably priced.
I'd love to try out cloud nines at some point if I have the money, but for now these are perfect :)

Have you tried the Babyliss or Cloud Nine Rollers?
What did you think?

Much Love
Lou
